Big Bro, Littler Bro Pt 2

"Well, we should get something to eat, lil' guy. You hungry?" Shadz asked as he carried Tutis out of the room and downstairs. "Yeah! Hungwy!" Tutis cheered, throwing his hands in the air and wrapping them around his big brother's neck. "Okay, bro. Let's see what we've got in the kitchen." Shadz sat Tutis down on the table, and the kit just smiled and kicked his feet around while playing with his toes. Shadz walked over to the fridge and looked inside. "What do you want for breakfast, bro?" Tutis looked up and shouted "Ice cweam!" The black fox chuckled and said "How about pancakes instead?"

"Yay, pancakes! I wuv pancakes!" The red kit said excitedly. Shadz took a carton of pancake batter out of the fridge and sat a pan on the stove that was already heating. "Bro, why don't you go in the other room and play? I'll call you when they're ready, okay?" Shadz asked. "O-tay!" Tutis replied and skipped into the living room. Once the fox was out of view, Shadz rubbed his temples in confusion. I've got to find a way to get Tutis back to normal...but how?" He asked himself. "Maybe I just need to relax. I'm sure I'll think of something. I'll call Autumn and see what she's doing." Shadz then picked up the phone and dialed Autumn's number.


****Autumn's House****


"I'm coming, hold on!" A young light blue vixen called out as she stepped out of the shower. She hurriedly wiped her wet paws on the rug and wrapped a towel around herself as she ran to answer the phone. "Hello? Oh, hi Shadz! No, I'm not doing anything. Sure, I can come over! I'll be there in a bit. Love you, too. Bye!" Autumn hung up the phone and walked over to her dresser. She pulled out a black and blue striped tank top and some black khaki shorts. After getting dressed, she slipped on her blue sandals and left for Shadz' house. But she no idea what she would see when she got there.


****Shadz' House****


"Tutis! Pancakes are ready, lil' bro!" Shadz called the fox's name but received no answer. Curious as to what sort of mischief the kit had gotten into, Shadz walked into the living room and his jaw dropped when he saw Tutis drawing on thhe walls with crayons. Tutis heard his brther enter the room, so he turned and smiled. "Wook, bwo! I's a artist!" Shadz facepalmed and was ready to scold the fox, but he knew it wasn't intentional. After all, he was a little kid in both body and mind now.

"Tutis, you shouldn't draw on the wall like that. It's not a nice thing to do." He said sternly but calmly as he picked Tutis up and carried him to the kitchen. "Well, eat up, bro. Hope you like...them...?" The black fox watched in astonishment as his brother wolfed down the entire stack of pancakes on his plate in one bite. "Well, I guess his appetite didn't shrink with his body." Shadz laughed. Tutis swallowed his food and said "Thanks, bwo! Dey were dewicious!"

"No problem, bro." Shadz began to eat his pancakes, but was interrupted by a knock on the door. "That must be her. Tutis, why don't you go upstairs and play for a bit, okay?" Tutis hopped off the chair and said "Okay, bro!" Shadz watched as Tutis ran up the stairs...well, climbed up the stairs. The dark fox stood up and walked over to the door. When he opened it, he was greeted by his girlfriend, Autumn Autumn. "Hey, Shadz! How are you?" The vixen said, hugging her love. She sensed something was amiss when he didn't hug her back with as much enthusiasm as normal, but seeing the forlorn look on his face, she thought it best not to ask.

"Hey, Autumn. Come on in." Shadz and Autumn walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. Shadz just sat there, hanging his head down. Autumn knew he was upset about something and wanted to cheer him up. She slipped off her sandals and laid her bare paws in Shadz' lap, teasingly wiggling her toes. "Hmm?" Shadz looked over at the playful vixen. "C'mon, sweetheart. You know you want to." Autumn taunted, poking her love's cheek with her toes. "Oh. Sorry, love. I'm just not in the mood right now..." Autumn frowned and removed her paws from Shadz' lap.

"Shadz, something is obviously bothering you. Will you please tell me what it is?" Shadz took a deep breath and looked at Autumn. "...it's Tutis." Autumn blinked twice in confusion. "Tutis? Why, is something wrong with him?" The black fox frowned once more and said "See for yourself." He then called Tutis' name. "Tutis? Can you come down here for a second?" A few seconds later, The kit came trotting down the stairs, and his appearance made Autumn gasp. "Tutis? Is that really you?"

"Hi, Autumn! I'm widdle now!" Tutis Said happily as he ran over to Autumn and hugged her leg. The blue vixen giggled and picked him up, holding him like a baby. "Not to mention adorable! But...how did this happen, Shadz?" Shadz turned away and said "Well...that's sorta my fault. You see, I've been kinda neglecting Tutis lately and he wished on a shooting star that things were like they used to be between us when he was younger. And this morning, he was like this." Autumn tilted her head and blinked. "So...he wished for this?"

"Well, sort of, but he only wished for it because I haven't been spending any time with him." Shadz finished, feeling ashamed of the whole ordeal. Before Autumn could ask another question, Tutis tugged on her shirt and looked her with his large, blue eyes. "Autumn, did I do a bad thing?" Unfortunately, the vixen didn't have the answer. Shadz however, knew the answer and he took Tutis from his love's arms. "No, bro. You didn't do anything wrong. It was my fault...if I had spent more time with you instead of distancing myself from you, none of this would have happened..."

"Bwo...pwease don't cwy." Tutis hugged Shadz tightly, followed by Autumn. "It'll be okay, Shadz. I promise." Autumn reassured her love. "Besides, until he's back to normal, I don't mind playing Mom." She added with a smile. Shadz looked at Tutis, then at Autumn and smiled a little himself. "Alright, then. It's settled. Autumn, looks like we have a son." Tutis' eyes grew wide and he threw his hands in the air, shouting "Yay! I have a mommy and daddy!" As Tutis celebrated his new "parents", Shadz and Autumn shared a tender kiss as Shadz silently thought to himself...

'I don't know how to change you back, bro. But even if I can't, I promise I'll always be there for you from now on. Count on it.'
